A Little About Leon...

Leon Cort is a retired experienced professional footballer, who began his career in 1998 and after accumulating over 15 years experience in the beautiful game, he finished his playing career in 2013. Leon played for teams across the United Kingdom, accumulating over 417 appearances as a central defender, scoring 38 goals.

2004-2006 Hull City

2006-2008 Crystal Palace

2008-2010 Stoke City

2010-2012 Burnley

2012-2013 Charlton Athletic

Leon also represented his country at international level with Guyana, and scored the winning goal in a 2-1 2011 World Cup Qualifying round over Trinidad and Tobago. Leon’s domestic experience has also taken him from League Two all the way to The Premiership. 

“The goals of forming the academy is to help young children develop and enjoy the game by learning different aspects of the game and working on weaknesses as well as strengths. Leon has a wealth of experience and advice on what it can take to have a healthy successful sporting life for fun or professional basis. We will also offer nutrition advice if needed. The main goal is for fun and enjoyment and to love playing football, male or female.”
